Description

Traveled to the Lonesome Lake Hut to photograph the Perseid Meteor Shower in August 2021. Managed by the Appalachian Mountain Club, this is one of 8 huts sprawled throughout the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Appalachian Trail thru-hikers often seek shelter in the huts on their journey from Georgia to Maine (or Maine to Georgia). We saw dozens of meteors and satellites over the course of a couple days. The clouds interrupted things a bit, but the view was still amazing in the mountains.
